My Passat's engine light is on and it's idling rough, any ideas? (15 อ่าน)

So I've got a bit of a concern with my Volkswagen Passat that started a couple of days ago and hasn't gone away. The check engine light came on while I was driving home, and I've noticed the engine feels really rough at idle, almost like it's missing or stumbling, and there's a slight vibration through the steering wheel when I'm stopped at traffic lights. It seems to smooth out once I'm driving, but that rough idle is really worrying me because I've heard these engines can have issues with the intake manifold or the PCV system. I've also noticed my fuel consumption seems to have gone up a bit, which makes me think maybe it's running rich or something is off with the air/fuel mixture. I don't have a code reader so I can't even check what the error code is, and I'm a bit nervous about driving it too much in case I make things worse. I'd rather take it to someone who actually knows these cars rather than a general workshop that might not have the proper diagnostic equipment. I came across a page for https://exoticautoservices.ae/volkswagen/volkswagen-repair-abu-dhabi/ when I was looking for specialists, and it seemed like they focus on VWs, but I wanted to ask here first if anyone's had similar rough idle issues with their Passat and what the cause ended up being. Was it something simple like a vacuum leak or was it more serious?
