I’ve been checking out Yamaha Windshield options lately and trying to decide what’s going to give me the best value. I ride mostly trails but also use my machine on the farm for hauling and general work. I’ve noticed that on longer rides, the wind chill can be a real issue, especially in colder weather, so a windshield is starting to feel like a must-have.

What I’m unsure about is whether to go with a folding windshield, a fixed one, or just a half windshield. Folding ones sound super convenient for adjusting airflow, but I’ve heard mixed things about durability. Anyone here running a folding Yamaha Windshield? How’s it holding up in rough conditions?

Another thing I’m curious about is installation, are most Yamaha windshields a straightforward bolt-on, or do they usually require extra modifications or drilling? I’d prefer something simple but tough enough to handle off-road abuse.
