To recover a Leap Wallet extension , open the extension and select "Import Existing Wallet," then enter your 12 or 24-word Secret Recovery Phrase. You will be prompted to create a new password to access your assets. Note: Leap Wallet is shutting down on May 28, 2026; you can use your phrase to migrate to wallets like Keplr, MetaMask, or Phantom.

Leap Wallet Recovery Process



Step 1: Open the Leap extension in your browser and click "Import Wallet" (or "Sign in with recovery phrase").

Step 2: Enter the 12-24 word Secret Recovery Phrase generated when you first created the wallet.

Step 3: Set a new, secure password for the extension.

Step 4: Your accounts and balances will be restored.



Important Information



No Seed Phrase = No Recovery: Since Leap is non-custodial, if you have lost your recovery phrase, you cannot recover your wallet through customer support.

Migration Notice: As of April 2026, Leap Wallet is undergoing a sunset process. It is recommended to import your recovery phrase into another wallet (e.g., Keplr) to ensure uninterrupted access to your assets.

Mobile Recovery: You can use the same 12-24 word phrase to recover your wallet on the Leap wallet Mobile app, following similar steps.
