One issue with temporary generator setups is that the interface panel can become a weak point when loads change quickly or connections aren’t made correctly. With 200 amp compact generator panels it’s important to check the panel rating, breaker sizing, grounding, and cable connections before energizing. Moisture, loose lugs, and overloaded circuits can also cause heat buildup or nuisance trips. I’d also make sure the transfer equipment prevents any chance of backfeeding, since that’s a serious safety risk on temporary power systems.
