I need a quiet spot near Vancouver for a solo weekend – good coffee, nice walk, maybe a pool. Any thoughts?

I actually did a solo trip to River Rock Casino in Richmond last winter when I just needed to get out of my own head for a bit. I wasn't interested in the casino at all – I booked it because the pool and hot tub looked decent, and I wanted a room with a view. I spent my mornings walking along the river with a coffee from the café downstairs, read my book by the water, and treated myself to a nice dinner at the Asian restaurant inside. The next day I took the SkyTrain to Steveston Village, which was a lovely little fishing port with cute shops and seafood. It was exactly what I needed – quiet, simple, and no pressure to do anything. If you want a low-key escape with easy access to some nice spots, it's a solid option.
