Disposal of Old Office Equipment When Relocating an Office (18 อ่าน)
27 ส.ค. 2569 18:48
We are moving our IT company to a new office near Gorbals in Glasgow. Over the past couple of years, we have accumulated a pile of burned-out monitors, computer towers, and cables. We cant just throw these away in a regular trash bin - the environmental fines are huge. Can you advise on how a business can legally dispose of old electronics? Do we need a special disposal certificate for accounting purposes, or is it enough to simply schedule a pickup?

Electronics really do need to be disposed of strictly in accordance with WEEE regulations, with an official certificate issued for reporting purposes. We have been through this ourselves - regular waste collection services wont take that kind of junk. Check out glasgow commercial waste, they will arrange for the equipment to be picked up, provide all the necessary documentation for the tax authorities, and recycle it properly. Do you plan to turn in the printers and their cartridges as well?
