The Elegante, in my opinion, also isn't quite comparable with the Chronometre Souverain, given the electro-mechanical movement inside. I appreciate the Elegante link for what it is, and I would love to own one, but I don't think link many people are cross-shopping a Chronometre Souverain and an Elegante &ndash; plus, given the latter's recent, well-publicized difficulties staying in stock, I think the Chronometre Souverain is a better fit link for the current "Entry Level" title at F.P. Journe.

So you still get link much of the experience of a ceramic watch, and many of the core benefits (the material is lightweight and all but impervious to scratches, corrosion, and fading), but you don't have to pony up link for the raw cost of a link full ceramic case.
