Im interested in how people in engineering and technical fields balance their day‑to‑day work with the small choices they make in everyday life, like what they buy, how they save money, or how they think about the environment.

For example, some of my friends who work long hours in technical jobs prefer buying 2nd hand clothes online to save time and avoid crowded shops, while also reusing things instead of always buying new. Others focus more on convenience and don’t think about it much at all.

I’m curious what its like for you:

Do your engineering or technical skills influence how you make everyday decisions (shopping, transport, tools, etc.)?

Have you changed any habits over the years because of what you’ve learned at work?

Do things like buying 2nd hand clothes online, using used equipment, or repairing items instead of replacing them matter to you?
