Qatar is a small yet highly influential country located in Western Asia on the northeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. Surrounded by the Persian Gulf on three sides, it shares its only land border with Saudi Arabia. Although the country is relatively small in size, it has become one of the most economically powerful nations in the region due to its vast reserves of natural gas and petroleum. These resources have helped transform Qatar into one of the wealthiest countries in the world in terms of income per person.
The capital city, Doha, serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of the nation. Over the past few decades, Doha has grown rapidly, featuring modern skyscrapers, luxury hotels, advanced transportation systems, and world-class educational institutions. The city has become a major destination for international business, tourism, and global events.
Qatar follows a constitutional monarchy system led by the Emir, and the country gained independence in 1971. Since then, it has focused on modernization while maintaining its strong cultural traditions and Islamic heritage.
Today, Qatar continues to expand its global influence through investments in education, infrastructure, sports, and media. Long-term plans such as Qatar National Vision 2030 aim to promote sustainable development, economic diversification, and a high quality of life for future generations.
