The dial of the watch is designed to evoke the face of the Minotaur, link who was a half-man, half-bull link monster inhabiting a labyrinth built by the king of Crete. The king was Minos (Minotaur is "Bull Of Minos") – the dial's decorated with a labyrinth motif. The moonphase indication has been replaced, as well – by a link two-letter display of the day of the week, which does an excellent job representing the nose of the monster.
