Trying to understand why our furniture pieces keep arriving with corner damage (4 อ่าน)

We manufacture small batch custom furniture and have been struggling with corner and edge damage during delivery for probably eighteen months now and I'm at the point where I need to actually solve this rather than just apologizing to clients and offering touch-ups. The pieces are wrapped in moving blankets and loaded carefully so I initially assumed it was the courier's handling but after watching our own loading process more critically I think the problem might be that nothing is actually structurally contained, the blankets shift and the pieces can rotate slightly during transit. I came across an article focused on ensuring safe and secure handling of products for transport that made a strong case for rigid outer containment rather than just surface padding and it reframed how I was thinking about the whole problem. Apparently soft wrapping protects against surface scratches but does almost nothing to prevent the kind of impact damage that happens when a piece shifts and hits the van wall. Has anyone in custom furniture or large item delivery found a workable rigid crating solution that doesn't add so much weight it becomes a logistical headache visit here https://bookcardubai.com/plastic-crates-product-protection-transport/ ?
